The importance of the chemistry and topography of tool surface has strongly increased over the last decade. New challenging plastic materials, higher demands on reproducibility, appearance and tolerances and the need to produce at the lowest cost possible have shifted the surface more and more into the focus of the tool makers and manufacturers.

Based on 25 years of experience in the field of injection molding tool surfaces, Gloss & Coating GmbH was founded to explore and push the boundaries of chemical and mechanical surface modifications in demanding processes.
New developments were succsessfully tested at selected customers. Those were based on new automated polishing processes well as new types of coatings and surface modifications.
